Na de
doop van Prinses Elizabeth beveelt Hendrik VIII dat Cromwell een nota opstelt voor de erfopvolging waarbij Ann's
kinderen als eerste in lijn worden aangewezen. Deze belediging aan de imperialistische partij wordt aangescherpt door
Prinses Mary een lagere stand in het gevolg (hofdames) van haar half-zuster te geven. Desalniettemin weigert de Franse
koning om openlijk de nieuwe koningin te erkennen. Ann  geeft opdracht om de haar rivaliderende Lady Eleanor Luke te
laten verdwijnen door haar valse beschuldigingen over diefstal in de schoenen te schuiven. Paus Paulus III heeft schoon
genoeg van de schismatische gedragingen van Hendrik VIII en maakt de toegewijde maar op dat moment gevangen bisschop
Fisher een kardinaal. Hendrik VIII beveelt vervolgens de dood van Fischer.

Synopsis
Season 2
Episode 4:
After princess Elisabeth's baptism, Henry orders Thomas Cromwell to draw up a bill of succession
favoring his and Ann's offspring, to be accepted by an oath from all subjects. The affront to the imperialist party is
maximized by making princess Mary a lowly lady in waiting to her half-sister, yet the French King still refuses openly
to recognize the new Queen. Ann orders her rival lady Eleanor Luke eliminated, by false charges of jewel theft. Tired of
Henry's schismatic obstinacy, Pope Paul III makes the loyal, hence jailed bishop Fisher a cardinal, Henry orders his
assination.
